I have a 1986 '22 Revenge Cuddy. I've seen pictures of the 1988 version with a 2' whaler drive that moves the outboards back and gives more room in the boat. I was wondering if it was possible to modify my boat in this fashion and whether anyone had ever done it? Any suggestions? Thanks,

landsowens,

The Whaler Drive is one type of outboard bracket. It has its advantages and disadvantages. The Whaler Drive cannot be retrofitted to a Whaler but you can instal certain aftermarket outboard brackets. There are many other versions made by other manufacturers.

You would do well to read this very informative and well illustrated reference article from the Reference Section of continuousWave.com
