I picked up a very sweet 1996 Yamaha with 30 hours on it for my 1970 13' Sport. Underneath the cowling looks as good as the new Yamahas at my dealer, BUT, it is a tiller, has no power tilt and, oh yeah, is a pull start. It has a 15" shaft so no jackplate is needed.
The lack of a power tilt is something I can deal with, I think.
The pull start is something I will address later. I can pull start it without the risk of cardiac arrest.
But, I do want to convert it to remote steering and controls. I spoke to my local Yamaha dealer and he said Yamaha doesn't make a clean conversion kit. If they had the part numbers, they could order them separately.
Has anyone gone through this and remembers the part numbers?
