Hi all. I don't want to ask any redundant questions but with all the talk about ultra-tuff, ultra-cool and ultra-hard...hmmm...; Does anyone make a durable paint that with thorough preparation work will prove satisfactory for my 1964 nauset with the old "whaler blue or green interior"? As much as I value the boat, I think a full and accurate cosmetic restoration is beyond me at the moment. Thanks!

The brand of paint most mentioned for an application like painting a boat cockpit seems to be AWLGRIP. This is an expensive paint, and its application requires particular attention to method, preparation, environment, and protection. If you search here or on GOGGLE.COM you will find more information.

I am certain there are some previous discussions on this, and also on a similar paint, the IMRON brand. These are very tough, durable, and high gloss industrial paints.
