I am looking to replace the liner of my console electronics box on my 21 Outrage('94). I am replacing the electronics and the box appears to have a few cracks and separations. Any suggestions on where to find this part? Any thoughts about repairing it or strengthing it with black starboard?

Thanks in advance

Bill

The dealer will have it if you want to buy the exact same liner. You can also by Starboard or the equivlent Linear Polyethylene board from any plastic supply place. Starboard has UV light stabilizers that prolong the degradation period if the plastic is exposed to sunlight. The plane old Poly board does not have the stabilizers, which should not be a problem at all for the inside of the box. Either can be worked with common woodworking tools. You cannot glue Poly board, but you make a mechanical adhesive joint with 5200 sealant and dovetail grooves for the sealant to get a mechanical bite to the plastic. The grooves must be filled completely to overflowing on both pieces, must match to sealant comes in contact with sealant, and then clamped or screwed securly and given a week to cure fully. BillS

I plan use the .5 black starboard to remake the box. I feel it'll be much stronger than the original. Thanks Bill !
