Has anyone had a fitting installed on their Mercury outboard to flush the motor? Mercury customer service said that I could have a fitting installed on my 2001 75hp 2 stroke to flush motor while in my slip. The CSR thought the part was around $65.00 I believe the CSR also stated that that the fitting will allow the water jackets to be flushed without the motor running. Needless to say I am a bit confused on this option. |

John, What is a flushing port and what advantage does it have over flushing through the tell-tail? |
