The floor of the center console on my outrage 19 has fallen to the deck in one corner. This may be due to the fact that the oil resovour is bolted to the floor. The dual batteries sit on the deck though cutouts in the floor.

How is the console floor supported?

What is the easiest way to fix this?

On my 1997ish Montauk, the console floor was supported on four
pieces of aluminum angle about each about four inches long.
Each had about three screws. The screws pulled out. I
replaced them with aluminum angle almost as long as the sides
of the console, with a screw every couple of inches.

The good news is that I didn't have to completely
remove the console. I was able to tip it back about 30
degrees and work from underneath.

I was looking at it.

I was wondering if it was supposed to be supperted by the ledge that is around the base.

As far as fixing it went I was going to unbolt the console and tilt it to the side or back so that could work under it without removing everthing.

I will have to pull both batteries and move the oil tank so that it does not leak or is not in the way.

What type of aluminum angle did you use?

Is there a marine grade that is better?
