I've varnished the teak hatches in my console and have restored or replaced all the hardware on these doors except for the cam locks. The original ones were so badly corroded that I had to break them apart and destroyed them and (mistake #1) threw them away.

I'd like to replace them, but have discovered that they come in many different sizes (depths)...from 7/8" to 1 7/8"...does anyone know which to buy to keep the doors firmly shut? Too short and the door lock won't close, too long and the door will rattle.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide...

Dave

Dave,
I just bought the shortest ones, 7/8" I believe. They came with different "tounges", and the short, offset tounge worked the best.
