I have a 1981 Mercury 90hp. with hydraulic tilt. The hoses appear to be originals. They are starting to leak and peel. The local dealer wants about $400 to replace them. I am not a mechanic, but I do know a phllips from a slot. My evaluation is that it does not appear to be too difficult for me to change them out. In addition there is a local hose manufacturing company that says they will make new hoses (if I bring in the old ones) at a fraction of the cost for original equipment. In addition to advice from somene who knows what they are doing, I am concerned about bleeding the system when I am done. Question: Does anyone have any ideas, or suggestions? Dave
