i'm thinking about installing trim tabs (Lenco) on my 1996 20' outrage. seeking advice on where to locate etc. the boat is on a trailer most of the time. thx for any help. |

I think trim tabs work better the farther outward they are mounted. Also, the larger, the better. Obviously there are some mounting constraints which may limit mounting in the optimal location. I have a set of Lenco's mounted on my 17, and due to hull shape and transom configuration, they were mounted inboard of where I would have liked them. Otherwise, they work very well, and mounting was a snap. My Grady has Bennett's, but I went Lenco for ease of installation. FISHNFF |

Use 12x12E Lenco tabs; go to http://www.geocities.com/j_flook/technical_photos.html to see how I mounted that tab on my Outrage 22, which has the same transom as a Classic Outrage 20. I am presuming that is what you have. John |
