Gentlemen:In an old post, (I think it was Chuck Trib but any body join in), someone had found a source of schedule 10 PVC pipe that could be used as a replacement for the "brass and "O" ring system" for thru hull drain tubes. I can't find this material at McMaster Carr or WW Grainger. Any help would be appreciated. Here is to Spring! Thanks WLS

It wasn't me -- I suggested getting the plastic part from the whaler dealer I think. Someone else suggested PVC pipe, and it wasn't that long ago.Go to the search page and search on PVC brass Chuck

Walt, I learned from Royce that a 3rd party replacement kit using PVC/plastic tubing and push on flanges is available from some Boston Whaler dealers. I ordered one for my Outrage 22 Cuddy from Sue at Twin Cities Marine a few days ago. My understanding is that it's not a Whaler part, but fits the existing hole with little or no modification. Royce, perhaps you could chime in on your experience with these.Price was really low, like less than $10 for the tube and flange. |
