Hey Guys
I am in the process of remodeling my 69 13ft whaler. Everything is going great and was wondering if the motor I have is ok for this boat . It is a 40hp Mercury. I am not sure of the shaft size, how do you measure the shaft? and what size would work best for the 13.
I will post pics when I am done.

The 40hp is fine for your 13' but you've got the cut-out transom so you will need the 15" shaft.

Steve,
What year is your Merc? Is it a 4 cylinder or a 2 cylinder? The '69 and before were great.
