Topic:   Neutral safety switch not working

posted 05-28-2005 09:31 PM ET (US)         I wired up the new harness and the new set of gauges and decide to see if the boat would start. She turned over on the first turn of the key. I then noticed that I never had to pop in the button to put her in neutral. I tried it a couple of times to confirm. I plan to reverse the wires to the switch but anything else I should look for? Since she wasn't shifting into neutral all the time and it sometimes took a while to start I am not totally unhappy but I though I should make an attempt to fix the problem. Thanks
