Author Topic:   One more RPS question

After searching the Refrence section, I could not find weather or not the RPS is designed to have wood risers underneatht the Z legs. The used one I just purchased has them, but they appear to be pine, so I am assuming the old owner added them to raise the height.

So my question is, Are the wood risers required to accurately install an RPS? Or can the Legs be screwed straight to the deck?

Thanks!

The legs can be screwed directly to the deck if the original screw holes and the deck itself is in good repair. If not some repair may be in order first.

Many people raise the RPS so the seating height is more comfortable and/or to allow space underneath the seat for larger fuel tank(s).
