Had the Montauk out last week and found that the Trim and tilt was not working. The motor would tilt up and down, but would slowly sink down went tilted up. Also when running, I had to continuously trim the motor. Today, I was going the winterize it. Went to tilt the motor up and down. Someone had told me that the trouble might just be a small bit of dirt on an o-ring. Well it tilted up and down and then stayed in the up position. I've tryed to release it with the screw on the left hand side. Couldn't move it. Any ideas on what to do next? I'd like to winterize it tomorrow since I'm getting a hip replacement on Wednesday. Timing sucks. Thanks for any help that you can give. David |
