I have Furuno GPS/SOUNDER/FISH FINDER. Where is the best place to put its transducer on my 28-foot sport fishing w/forward cabin boat with twin 115-HP Yamaha outboard motors. I will appreciate it very much, if anyone gives me expert advice regarding this matter!

Thanks a lot--Rupert

Generally on an outboard boat with twin engines the SONAR transducer is located on the keel centerline, between the motors. The manufacturer of the transducer usually supplies instructions for the precise mounting position in relationship to the hull bottom. If the boat is a deep V-hull, you may find it better to mount the transducer just slightly off center so that it does not operate in the flow right at the apex of the V-hull.
