Need to replace my steering pulleys on transom on 1967 13 Whaler. The type that are on boat are no longer made, they are Attwoods with a large shroud. What is the best choice now? I have looked at the Perkos, the swivel type with the round circle on top. Will these work? Does Whaler have a preferred brand? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

The perko will work but why not change the steering to mechanical. It is a lot safer. Nothing to get caught in the pulleys and jam your steering. The new system will cost you less than $100.00.
