I have recently purchased a 17' Whaler and need to replace the center console. I don't mind an aftermarket one but I want to be able to stand up while driving. All the ones I have come across so far are very short (32" +/-). Anyone have any suggestions? Should I go with a coustom wood/fiberglass or is there something out there that would work. Please advise, imput much appreciated.

Andy

Andy,

Congrats on the 17' Whaler, you've got one versatile hull there! Since OEM isn't an issue for you, I'd suggest checking out the consoles from Carolina Skiff...I wouldn't recommend the Todd type, way too light...the Carolina Skiff consoles are well built, match pretty well with the existing interior (with the exception of the older blue interiors) and can be easily customized. Throw in the grab rail and windshield and you're all set to go...

Good luck...

DaveS
