Kolbert	posted 04-09-2006 10:33 AM ET (US)         I have a 71 Nauset and the steering has been sticky for quite some time. I took off the steering control in the console today and discovered that I have a "Steermaster Mark 2" system. How would I go about getting replacement cables for this setup? I doubt very much that Steermaster is still around. Would a Teleflex cable fit? What have others with similar classics done? Thanks
Dick	posted 04-09-2006 12:30 PM ET (US)             The ACCO Steermaster II steering system is obsolete. Your best bet will be to replace the entire system with a Teleflex SS132 NFB helm and cable kit.

Trying to figure out how everything mates up from the console end and also hoop-up on the transom. Has anyone done this before? Are there ways to take out the current cable from the sleeve and clean it up and re-use it? Thanks
