crazee canuck	posted 05-29-2006 01:22 PM ET (US)         I just bought an older 17 Montauk with a 1975 Evinrude 85hp. The interior is blue. Will this help in ID'ing the year of mamufacture. There is not plate or registration number anywhere? I have been told that the blue interiors stopped after a certain year. The centre seat is wood, painted with the reversible back. More questions to follow as they come up!

crazee canuck	posted 05-29-2006 03:48 PM ET (US)             Thanks for the reply,eh...looks like a Montauk II, '73-'75. It is really grungy both inside and out. It has been painted, inside and out. Any suggestions for cleaning it up?....And what is the best to put on the bottom for anti fouling....it is a black colour right now? ARe these p;roducts available in Canada? eh?? I am doing this work myself and would hate to have to redo something that didn't work (any more than necessary, anyway!!) Sue
