I noticed that the tell-tale on my Yamaha F100 was not putting out when I pulled up to the dock last night after a harbor curise (about 40 minutes at 1000 rpm). It was working when I left the dock, just not sure how long it was like that. There is a lot of green plant material in the water right now, so I could have picked something up and blocked the tell tale hose / nozzel. No overheat alarm (& it works - checked a week ago). When i disconnected the flush out fitting (which also drains the powerhead), the water draining was warm, but not hot. Plenty of it drained out. Lots of water draining when I tilted up. Seeing as how the powerhead was full of water, I hope the impeller is good, just that the tell tale is blocked. I'll hook up the flush hose tonight and see if the sit overnight loosened up whatever is hopefully clogging the nozzel. After that I'll disconnect the nozzel from its hose and see if it spits a piece of junk then see where the supply hose exits the block/head. Suppose I can also blow back through and backflush w/ air to see if something moves.

Are there any other points I should think of?
thanks,
tony

Had a similar problem and had just changed impeller so I knew it was ok. Removed the tell take nozzel and saw light passing through. Still no water coming out. After a bit of head scratching I blew through tell tale and it turned out to be a salt crystal was blocking the water. May be not be turn out to that simple but....
