I have a [1964] 13-foot Boston Whaler boat. I am re-doing the boat and have heard about all grip instead of gel coat. Has anybody out there used the all grip or heard anything about the product? chase |

You won't find a single mention of "all grip." Try the proper spelling: AWLGRIP. There are 324 articles in the archives. http://continuouswave.com/cgi-bin/sw.pl?Search=AWLGRIP [Thread closed] |

[AWLGRIP] is a polyurethane paint. It is a very durable paint. I have sprayed [AWLGRIP] many times and it is a great paint. As far as paints go though I prefer IMRON by DuPont. I think it is a bit easier to spray and just as durable if not more durable coating. Both of these paints are not usually for the do-it-yourself-er because they are pretty hazardous to be just spraying everwhere in your garage. Gel coat is many times stronger and more durable than any paint but involves a ton of wet sanding after you spray it on to get a perfect finish. |
