I have just finished installation of a stern light which I hope resembles the original. I purchased new brackets from Sue at Twin Rivers Marine, a new light (only) fom Perko; Model 0362DP0CHR which is a chrome plated solid brass all-around light with a frosted lens. The light was not cheap but it is a beautiful piece of hardware. For the mast I used a 30-inch piece of schedule 40, 1/2-inch-NPS, polished stainless steel pipe which I had threaded on one end. The Perko light has a 1/2-inch-NPT female thread. I was not sure of the height so I started at 36-inches and I can adjust. The 1/2-inch pipe has a 7/8-inch O.D. which fits the Boston Whaler brackets perfectly. The polished pipe came from a Maine Boat Builder's fabrication shop.

This is a very sturdy light and should last for years or for as I own this vessel and then my Grandson should not have to worry about it as long as he cares for it properly. Now to start on the new Bow light!

GP,
I'll try to get some photos of the light over the next few days.
