posted 07-23-2006 09:29 PM ET (US)         Where2 and Tuna1,hope you can help. I was going to take my Rage to Maine next week but now I'm not so sure. Running at 1000rpm on the trailer I heard a faint metal rubbing/grinding? sound coming from the drive shaft area. Using a long wooden stick confrimed that the noise was coming from the support around the drive shaft just foward of the splines. When I stopped the engine there was 1/16 to 1/8th radial play in the shaft. Is this normal? The gear lube looked normal when I changed it last fall. Thanks for any help. Larry
