Topic:   Evinrude serial number is hiding.

posted 07-23-2006 11:58 PM ET (US)         ANyone know another way of identifing an Evinrude other than the Serial number plate? The one I just bought doesn't have any markings on it whatsoever. Can't I find it somewhere on the power head? What about that small silver coin looking like stamp on the side of the crank case? Could that lead me anywhere? It's between a 1985-1992 Evinrude 25 hp Short Shaft electric start. Thanks in advance.
