I have not run this motor yet but looking at it I have discovered the following;There is a retaining ring not in place at the lower end of the steering tube. It is just hooked around the shift shaft above the lower motor mount.
Do I have to remove the power head to put this back in? Or, can it be snapped back in from the bottom.
If I have to take the mounts out I might as well replace them as they seem soft now .
If I put in solid motor mounts (which I can make instead of buy the rubber ones) will it make a big difference in the smoothness of operation.
And should I should I replace the lower crankshaft seal then too?
Anything else while I'm in there?
