Engine starts idles well. At full throttle it will go to full rpm and then slows down some(I have no tach yet). If you start from idle again you get the same thing.

I changed the fuel pump today thinking that would help, it was in bad shape, one check valve could not have been working, and the diaphrams stretched. It helped some it is alot less dramatic now but still a similar condition.

Previous owner said he timed it?? Not sure about that.

Any ideas?
Thanks
Len

Try replacing the fuel line and priming bulb. The check valves in the bulbs go bad. Also check the under cowl fuel filter and fuel lines for cracks that can admit air into the fuel. Lastly, make sure your tank vent is open, or your vented fuel tank cap is working correctly. BillS
