Just thought I would post an update with some pix I took today. I've been working on upgrading the woodwork on this boat and I finally got the parts out of the shop onto the boat for some test fittings. So far, I'm pleased with way its coming along, the higher console and rear seat will be much more comfortable for my old bones.

The only original wood that I am putting back into the boat are the two seats. Everything else is new honduras mahogany. The rear seat will have a full width seatback and the front of the console will be the half seatback for the front. My 26 dollar mercury engine control bought of ebay (nib with cables) will also have some mahogany over it as well. I've got a teleflex nfb steering kit with a stainless wheel for the console to mount and rewiring for the keyswitch and light switch to do as well. Maybe another couple of weeks if I keep going like I have been.

Hi Evil,

1) Does that back bench seat mount on top of the side pieces? It looks like the whole seating arrangement is forward by about a foot. Is that on purpose? Or is that the original position?

2) the links should use URL instead of IMG in the brackets. Hopefully my fix works.

The seats are in the same position as the original. I used the original side rails to model and drill the new ones. The rails are about 2 inches taller and the rear seat sits on top rather than on the bottom. I wanted everything to be a bit taller since I am not as young as I used to be and didnt want to squat and lean forward all the time. The console is significantly higher then what I can tell of the original supersport version. I am debating on how high to make the back seatback, I want to make sure I can have reasonable access stepping over it to get back to the motor. I also have a set of cushions for both the bottoms and backs of both seats, another ebay deal.

Bob

PS, thanks for fixing the links. I'm sorta surprised that this board can't support images linked in from external sites.
