I bought my '99 23' Conquest used in 2001. The owners manual does not discuss "how to use" the fresh water nor the raqw water washdowns. As a result, I have yet to use this function. Any input would be welcomed..

It's about as basic as it gets. Put water in the freshwater tank. The fill cap is centered on the stern just at the front of the motor well. Then turn on the switch for water, and push the button on the shower head. If no water, and you hear the pump running (is is behind the passenger grab rail on the port side), then you'll have to prime it first. Easiest way is to unscrew the shower head and suck on the water hose with the pump running.

For saltwater washdown, attach a hose with nozzle to the water outlet at the stern. Turn the spray nozzle inside the baitwell fully clockwise to close of flow to the livewell (it shares the same pump). Turn on the switch for the livewell, and squeeze your hose nozzle. The boat needs to be in the water since the pickup is below the waterline.

Don't feel bad. I had a ProLine with the same setup of the washdown and livewell pump being shared (apparently common). It was not described in the owner's manual and the (unmarked) valve that switched from one to the other was in a very obscure location.
