Season will be over soon and it will be time to put the Rage away. Since there are a few openings (water intake on bottom, and the output of the jet drive) do any other Rage owners cover or seal those openings up over the winter to prevent mice and other critters from making a winter home those areas?

Thanks.

Nope, I put mine on the floating lift for the "winter". (I'm in South Florida, what's winter?)

If you're in a climate which sees freezing temperatures, you will want to "winterize" your Rage at some point. There are specific instructions on doing this, and a couple of "invisible" petcocks that need to be opened to drain the remaining water out of the engine. Even with the boat out of the water, a puddle remains in the lower portion of the engine which can cause freeze damage.

As for the large openings, I have not heard of anyone bothering to stuff anything in them. My only bad experience has been having a mud-wasp build a home in one of my cooling passages, plugging it with caked, dry mud.
