Being the cheap bass**** I am, a recent experiment for touching up gel coat screw holes and not having a Spectrum (www.spectrumcolor.com(?) touch up kit @ $18.95 for 2 oz.), proved very successful. Stopped by the local paint store with a sample chip of the desert sand gel coat and told the owner I had some white epoxy, Marine Tex, that I needed to match the desert sand color with, at his tint carousel he proceeded to mix a small amount of black, orange and yellow into a coffee cup, mixed, it resembled one of the grand daughters dirty daipers....FREE. He instructed me to to use a toothpick and mix a drop at a time into the white epoxy until it had the desired color. On a piece of cardboard with approx. a 1" diameter blob of Marine Tex, 1 drop of the tint was all it took to get a perfect match. Let that test batch harden to ensure the tint had no effect on the hardening and to verify the color match, bingo, hardened and matched perfectly. On the side, the repair was for the bimini screw holes that we're no longer needed, replaced by a C.E. Smith SS T top, good looking match on an 18' Outrage, bimini (Mills) may be up for sale in the future. My apologies to Jim H. for sneaking a marketplace into this post. Don
