Just bought a 11 foot tender. water free (250lbs). Did the whole power wash and acid wash to clean her up. I am fairing the hull and fixing some small holes/imperfection etc.. I am going to spray with left over gelcoat from my 1973 outrage etc....

Had some questions?

How is the "self bailing" feature? Doea it work well with a 10-15 HP outboard on it? We are going to us it as a dinghy and figured we would not have to bail it like we currently do with the home made dinght we used up until now.

Does anyone know some references for the woodwork in the northeast?

Anybody have a front rail the want to get rid of?

Let me know and thank in advance.

Anthony

I've got one I have been trying to sell for awhile but can't part with it. It is a great boat. I would recommend newer 15 best brand new or 20. Goes fantastic w/ 25. I have ankle deep water in the boat and pulled the plug, WOT and the water sucked out real quick. IF you can do gelcoat then why not refinish your own wood? Not that big of a deal with about 10,000 posts on this forum and plenty by me. If you need wood I'd check with Binkie.

As regards rails, I would absolutely recommend side rails for that boat before bow rails - side rails would be great for hanging on - not sure of utility of forward rails.

If you want performance go 25 if no weight penalty. Lots use 15s, I have 9.9 and 25, both older, I assure you 9.9 will not plane the boat very well, it will but not great. 25 you have plenty of reserve but might be too much for your intended use. I saw a nice setup with 15 Yamaha the guy seemed happy wiht.
