I had my fuel tank replaced on my 1988 18' Outrage. The old tank had access ports just aft of the console, and just forward of the engine. The new tank has one port just aft of the console. With the old tank I could check the fuel throughout the season for any foreign substances or water. This past summer, with the new E10 fuel, I could easily check for fuel seperation and water accumulation. Because the boat tilts slightly aft in water, and given the gravitational pull caused by forward movement, anything in the tank ended up around the aft port. With the new tank I can't access the aft area (or at least not without paying someone a lot to do it for me.)
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to examine the fuel in the aft part of the new tank?
