I'm thinking of repowering my old Montauk 17 with the Suzuki 70 HP four-Stroke. Right now I have two portable fuel tanks under the seat; should I continue with this set-up or is there something better? TY |

You can see several pics here of my tank installation. http://www.porthole2.com/porthole/photos_Whaler.htm Somewhere on this site I detailed a lot of the work. The tank was custom made to fit under a slightly raised (1") seat. My tank holds 28 gallons and cost $535. Little more then the "available" tanks, but I got exactly what I wanted. Besides, The biggest available tank that would fit was only 18 gallons. I usually only have to fill the tank once a year. Running a 50hp Honda. Duane |
