I am looking for an alternative to the center console rails that are on my 22’ Outrage super console. The boat clears the car port fine without the rails but does not clear it with the rails on it. I really miss not having rails on the console to grab while out boating/fishing so, I am looking for some kind of collapsible rails that I can use, either the collapsible hinge parts that would go with rail I have now or a whole new rail system that I could put on the console.

I am looking for a way that I could fold the top of the rails down to put the boat into storage (under car port) and then fold and lock back up so that it is higher than the windshield and is sturdy to grab on to.

Has anyone replaced their super console hand rails with a different design? Has anyone seen collapsible rails? I have seen collapsible T-tops.

Thanks a lot,
Archie

I had the same issue with my old trailer. To solve the problem I came up with this solution. I thru drilled all 3 mounting holes, 1 on each side and 1 at the sheppards crook. I then used stainless clevis pins with stainless clasps to hold them in. To get it in my garage I would simply pull out the pins and lift the console rail out of its holders and place it on the bow. I never had any problems with the removal or the use of the rails using this method. McGuyver solution:)
