I recently acquired an old Montauk that in really great shape except that it has a crack in the ledge in the front storage area. I'm concerned that some water may have gotten in and would like to seal it up with Marine Tex or something similar. My question is; should I treat the area with something like restorz it in an effort to avoid internal damage? And, is that area all foam or is there some would as well?
