I have a 1963 13' whaler. I am in the process of bringing it back to solid-running state. I have removed the bottom paint, and will soon lay down some new gelcoat on the bottom. I know what I am getting into in that regard, and have had to sand/polish gelcoat before.

The question I am really running into is regarding the nonskid. I would like to re-gelcoat the interior as well, and am uncertain if there is a technique for applying gelcoat to the nonskid. I am not terribly concerned with maintaining the exact nonskid pattern, but I would like to stick with gelcoat, and not enter the realm of other 2-part epoxy paints. I have tried to search around, but perhaps I am looking in the wrong places. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Peter

This has been discussed several times on this site. Just go to the search box and enter "non-skid repair."
