Running a Montauk with a '98 OMC 3 cyl 70 hp.
I added 1 can sea foam to about 12 gal gas- would this likely account for excessive smoke or should I look further?
thanks--

The SeaFoam will burn off carbon in the engine. The burning will produce smoke. Whether the amount of smoke is excessive is subject to personal opinion. Hook up another fuel tank if you would like to rule the SeaFoam possibility out of the equation. Bob

More smoke, at times, w/ Sea Foam - generally when first started and for maybe 10 minutes but it seems to be less of an issue after motor has been run for awhile. But that is only an observation - with my Yamaha Precision Blend injected motor smoke is a bigger issue, less w/ premix motors, lawn mower etc.

I use Seafoam in every tank - I might try Ring Free for awhile.
