folks,
i'm giving serious thought to converting my gtx to a more traditional outrage configuration. if i do this, i would also like to position the console as far forward as practical to provide as much deck space as possible, a la my guardian 17 dive boat.
couple of questions:
* any other 18 outrage owners here that have done this?
* i've seen the 18 outrage diagram / wood locations... is it safe to assume i can install a console wherever the thicker wood is located?
any / all feedback is welcome.

I havn't seen a GTX to Outrage conversion, but I have seen an 18 Outrage with the center console all the way forward. I understand the need for more deck space but, it just didn't look right to me. If I see it again I'll take a picture.

thx very much, mike. i understand what you mean about not looking "right", but once you get past that, the extra deck space is great.
