I am replacing the Teleflex cable on a 17' restoration project. I have a new cable and am now cleaning up the tilt tube on the engine. I noticed that the steering arm that goes from the end of the teleflex to the attachment point on the front of the engine is bent. The bend is at the flat portion, right where it attaches to the engine. It's about a 10 degree bend. Is this correct, or should I straighten it?

The bolt that attaches the steering arm to the engine is also bent, so I suspect that something is wrong.

Thanks.
