I had my rage 15 out the other day (115 OMC) I was cruising along pretty good, but WO and for some reason with no warning the engine started cutting out, I'd come down to an idle and then it would be fine. As soon as I brought it back up to speed it started to act up again.

Temp is around 150-70, no alarms, smoke, or anything else. I was wondering it the power pack is going bad and the temp is causing a short or something? I've got a new regulator to install to fix my charging issue and "spazy" tach, but I wish this would have happened before I ordered my reg so I could have picked up a new power pack too.

The other thing that I think could be causing this issue is gas related. Could the stalling be related to a bad fuel pump? Again it runs fine at idle, but after it warms up for a bit then it begins to stall out.

Any Ideas??
Thanks guys!
Fox

Funny that you should mention this problem.
I have a Novurania with the same OMC115/Turbojet setup and this weekend, it did the same thing on an 8 mile run.
It was running fine at around 4500rpm and without warning it lost power. I throttled back, it never died, then I throttled up and it had never happened since.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

check your fuel filters and lines, sounds like you might have a clog.

Also don't relie on your temp guage, use an IR to pinpoint each cyl and the water muffler. Sounds like an overheat.

ps; don't mean to rule out fuel problems either.
