I recently started keeping my Montauk in a sling in Galveston Tx. After a few weeks, the rails get rust spots. They are easy to clean If I stay on them, but is there a product I can apply to keep the rust from forming?

I thought about wiping them down with Corrosion X, any suggestions that have worked for you?

Just don't use steel wool to clean them. 1000 grit sand paper works well to clean and shine. A light coat of wax will work after that. Don't use harsh cleaners as that may spot them.
