Stick Em	posted 08-07-2008 12:07 PM ET (US)         I recently started keeping my Montauk in a sling in Galveston Tx. After a few weeks, the rails get rust spots. They are easy to clean If I stay on them, but is there a product I can apply to keep the rust from forming? I thought about wiping them down with Corrosion X, any suggestions that have worked for you?
HAPPYJIM	posted 08-07-2008 12:12 PM ET (US)             Just don't use steel wool to clean them. 1000 grit sand paper works well to clean and shine. A light coat of wax will work after that. Don't use harsh cleaners as that may spot them.
