I have an 1995 Boston Whaler RAGE 15. It seems like after you get the boat up on plane, one side or the other of the engine runs out of fuel. We are on the third fuel pump. The one in the boat checked bad, the new one out of the box checked bad, so the one we have in now checked OK. Is one of the carburetors not getting gas? The compression on the [unclear] that runs the fuel pump is 125-PSI. But the plug looks like it has fouled out twice. The other three cylinders compression is 100-PSI. Would the electrical power packs be bad? We bypassed the fuel system and used a regular outboard tank and it runs good if you squeeze the ball once in a while on plane. It runs good at idling or 2,000-RPM but at high RPM on plane it will run if you purge with the key pushed in.

Can I put a marine electric fuel pump on, bypass the oil, and put [the oil in] the tank separately?

Also tell me how to convert to an outboard [from the current inboard-jet drive]. Thank you so very much.

Clean your carburetors.

Sounds like a fuel line, or fitting [problem] to me. I would replace all of the fuel lines and fittings from the tank to the fuel pump, especially under the cowling. Sounds to me like you have an air leak.
