this console is now gone the question is for anyone with a 15 sport should I rebuild with the height extensions that you can see in the picture or do I go back to the low console with the original wheel orientation? as you can see there are probably 25 holes in the top piece so it will be replaced with new material. hope the pictures are accessable

I removed the separate thread you began as a follow-up to this discussion. Please do not start a new thread in order to add a follow-up to this topic. Creating multiple threads on a single discussion topic tends to dilute the value of the information that is gathered.

Please review the very minimal recommendations for writing style before posting new articles. Capitalize the first letter of the first word of each sentence. Following this convention will make your writing much easier to read.

I'm not clear what you're asking, gyzmo, but here are three photos showing my 1987 15 CC with the console raised exactly one foot. I'm six feet tall and I often stand when operating my boat, so that extra foot makes all the difference.

I also added the totally indispensible (IMO)rails around the console, for security when cruising in lumpy seas and for ease and safety when making one's way forward past the console even on calm waters.

Hope this helps. We can probably help you more if you're able to post those photos.

Tony
