I have recently purchased an Outrage 24 with twin Merc 200 EFI motors. I don't get any warning horn test when I turn either ignition switch to run. Is there way to test the system? Since I don't get the test horn on either motor I may try an replace the horn itself. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

On most Mercury motors that I've seen c.1980 to c.1990, when the ignition key is moved to RUN from OFF, the engine will sound its aural alert with a cadence of BEEEEEEEP BEEP BEEP or BEEEEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP (Morse code letter "D" or "B").

These are '96 models and there are no beeps with either engine. I'm going to trouble shoot the warning horn itself today. Thanks.

Both warning horns were bad. I replaced both and now get the proper test after going from OFF to Run on the ignition switches. Thanks.
