I could use a few suggestions on ways to rig a ladder or additional swim platform to a WhalerDrive with a single engine. I don't feel like reinventing the wheel. Images would be helpful. Besides people, I have a large four legged friend (115 pound Chocolate Lab) who is my primary concern for a friendly means of ingress.

I just picked up a Garelick three step stainless extension ladder on clearance at Boater's World but it's not going to be that simple by itself. I also have a platform from my Montauk (starboard, about 14 inches square more or less) that could be bastardized.

I saw the thread on the platform welded up recently by someone here and although it looks great I don't have the time or equipment to do such a beautiful job for the short term.

Thanks in advance to all.

Depending on the athleticism of your labs, you can buy or make a wooden ramp that they can board easily from the water. I think Cabela's sells these for duck hunting. It may require a bit of training, but once they get the hang of it - it is cool to see. Easily stowed too.

Sorry for the VERY long link.
