Thanks to Raymond Martin of Martin Marine Design. Ray designed a custom RPS cushion for me again. This time for my Dauntless 180. It replaces the standard 3 inch cushion. When sitting my line of sight was just in par with the grab rail which bugged the heck out of me. The new cushion is 6 inches taller. Not only is it great for sitting on but it also works very well as a leaning post. This thing is a beast.

That cushion is fantastic! I am always amazed with people ability to solve problems with a simple solution.

What kind of foam is in that cushion?

Raymond's workmanship is second to none. If anyone is thinking about having any upholstery or aluminum work done I highly recommend him.

How much was the seadeck BW helm pad? That's pretty sweet. So sweet my wife will think I've gone off over the edge.

Reminds me of 'The Princess and the Pea.'

I agree about the workmanship quality; I purchased the thicker cushion Feejer had on his montauk. If I compare it to the Whaler cushion, aside from the thickness and lack of gray piping, I can't tell a difference in quality.

Wow, now that's a big a-- cushion! Or is it a cushion for a big a--? Just kidding! How does the extra weight of the cushion impact the hinge and its fasteners? I'll bet it's very comfortable.

The cushion is very comfortable. The extra weight is nothing, I don't have any issues opening the top at all. The snaps are in the same place as before. A few along the front and then 2 under the cushion on the rear
