Any idea where I can pick up the small crimp and solder terminals and the females that go to them (inside plug) ? Tried Radio shack (they said NO), West Marine and Lowes. Any ideas ? I live near Annapolis. Hopefully not Fairwinds because I hate them right about now. |

If you are asking about obtaining replacement pins or sockets for insertion in connectors in the wiring hardness of an OMC outboard motor, you need to identify the type of connector and the size. Many of the connectors are Amphenol brand, generally the rubberized body connectors. There may also be Deutsch connectors. You won't any parts for these at Radio Shack. (Radio Shack generally carries hobby parts, not industrial grade connectors.) You should be able to get help with this from an authorized Evinrude or Johnson dealer with a good parts counter. If the connectors are Deutsch connectors, you can get parts for them in small quantities. See my article in SMALL BOAT ELECTRICAL on Deutsch connectors sources: Deutsch Connector Source To work on the Amphenol connectors you will need a pin or socket removal tool. Amphenol connectors or connector components or tools can be hard to obtain in small quantities. I don't have a good source to recommend for you. |

www.shop.evinrude.com and click on Parts, then your engine and model number. All the connectors and components are listed by part number. The individual parts are then availbable online or from any Johnson-Evinrude dealership. |

I am sorry. This is for the short, back harness for the trim & tilt. I believe the female parts I am referring to are called FERRULES. |

Not a Deutsch connector and Evinrude wants to sell me the whole harness. Kind of sucks because its only about $3 in parts. Maybe I can fabricate out of some other terminals. |

I am not clear about your description. Perhaps you are talking about bullet connectors. These are readily available from any electrical or electronic supply. Some variants have a soft vinyl tube that envelopes them to help insulate them, or the female receptacle has an insulating hood. You can usually find them at a hardware store. See: |

Pretty sure OMC part #0510780 is one (ferrule) of the two parts I need. I can't find a picture of it though. |
