We have an Outrage V20 1987. We wanted to install Bennett M120 sport tabs. Does anyone know how to access inner hull for backing plates.

There is no way to access the inside. I had the same tabs on my 18 OR with no reinforcements, and I now have Lenco 12 x 12's on my 22 OR with no backing or reinforcements. Most of the load on the scres is in shear, not pulling on the screws.

If you insist, you could probably drill the holes, then hollow out a spot with a hex key wrench in a drill and inject epoxy to thicken up the mounting area.

To mount mine, I removed all paint where they went, then sanded the areas with 60 grit paper to give a good rough surface to bond to. Drill the holes, then smather it up with plenty of 3M 5200 before tightening the screws. It should ooze out everywhere. DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS, as it will strip out the holes.

I wouldn't use the boat for at least a few days to allow the 5200 to cure.
