Can the wrong spark plugs damage a rectifier or voltage regulator? Motor is 2001 Mercury 75hp 2 stroke. Also if the engine wire harness becomes loose or disconnected on the motor while under way can this fry the voltage regulator of rectifier?

A loose harness or battery connection can fry a rectifier. Also turning off a battery selector swith can also harm the rectifier.

Thanks. I think the loose harness did it.
