Newtauk1	posted 07-24-2009 10:36 PM ET (US)      Can the wrong spark plugs damage a rectifier or voltage regulator? Motor is 2001 Mercury 75hp 2 stroke. Also if the engine wire harness becomes loose or disconnected on the motor while under way can this fry the voltage regulator of rectifier?
outragesteve	posted 07-24-2009 11:00 PM ET (US)             A loose harness or battery connection can fry a rectifier. Also turning off a battery selector swith can also harm the rectifier.
