Has anyone actually, in real life, hoisted a DT200 motor? If so, how did you do it?

I am moving mine up 5" onto a fixed bracket, and would like some practical pointers on where to attach the hoist, what to expect for the motor's balance, etc.

I'll try to post some pictures of the process.

This past winter I hoisted my DT 200 off the transom to paint it. Early this summer I removed the powerhead to have work done to it.

Both times I used the hoisting eyes on the motor, attached to an engine hoist via a two point bridle consisting of a length of chain and two small shackles. You have to rig it as short as possible so the engine hoist does not run out of lift before you have the engine in the air.

Be careful with the flywheel teeth while rigged with the short chain bridle. It easily clears, but could bind in the teeth if you are not paying attention while starting the lift.
